Hi, I'm Susie Carter.

Some people call me the Yenta of the North. I am the president and owner of AlaskaMen Magazine, and I have spent decades sharing the humor, heart and larger-than-life stories of Alaska's men.

What began at my kitchen table became a life's work: helping people see the warmth behind the wilderness and making introductions that matter.

From Anchorage to the world.

The AlaskaMen story has traveled well beyond Alaska. Susie has shared her perspective on national television and in newspapers and magazines, always with the same affection for the people and place behind the headlines.

  • Five appearances on The Oprah Winfrey Show

  • Featured on Good Morning America, Today, Regis and Kathie Lee, and Entertainment Tonight

  • Profiled by outlets including the Wall Street Journal, People, Life, The New York Times and Los Angeles Times

A matchmaker at heart.

My work has never been about a formula. It is about listening closely, noticing what makes people light up and cheering on the brave act of saying hello. AlaskaMen is known for a wink, but the connections are always real.

"The best stories start with an honest introduction."

Let's keep the story going.
